 Dining in CityWalk

Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Café

Hard Rock Café at CityWalk is the world’s largest Hard Rock Café memorabilia centre. While you might have gotten sick of buying souvenirs by this time, it will at least give you something to do while you wait for your food (provided someone else takes a turn holding the table for you).

Food-wise, it’s pretty much what you can expect from a Hard Rock Café. You get the options of the typical American grille fare; I opted for the Au Jus, only I forgot to ask for it without cheese. I hate cheese. But it tasted fine aside from that, and I was given a pretty big portion of fries. I know the rest of my family members were happy with their food choices as well.

Ambience-wise, I was thrilled. Our booth was situated right in front of the big screen TV, where music videos played during dinner. We got to watch Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust,” and AFI’s “Silver and Cold.” The rest I don’t remember, but that was something else that took our minds off of the wait, which wasn’t all that bad, but it could’ve been quicker.

 Nascar Cafe
Nascar Sports Grille

The Nascar Sports Grill is for sports fans what Hard Rock Café is for music fans – just about all the sports you can get on big screen TV’s in a very sports-friendly atmosphere.

The food portions are humongous, so I suggest splitting with other people if you have this option. They’ll look at you like you’re a lunatic for wanting to save money and/or not throw away food, but who cares.

I split a plate of ribs with a family member and was plenty full when it was all said and done. I liked the variety here a little better than at Hard Rock Café, because they offered things like the ribs (and some fish, if my memory serves me correctly).

 Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville
Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville

Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville serves up some awesome Floridian food.  True to its name, it really is Margaritaville inside, complete with a volcano of erupting Margarita in the center of a fountain that erupts every 20 minutes or so.  It’s fun to watch while you’re waiting for your food.

They have a fairly diverse menu; two of us ordered the Coconut Shrimp for $15.95, which was more than we could finish.  It was sweet, almost too sweet, but definitely a nice change.  They also offer Jamaican foods, conch, and crab, as well as normal food items such as chicken sandwiches, burgers, and Caesar salads for you boring people.

This one was probably the highest-priced, but comparable to some of the meals at Nascar.
