Vacation in Idaho and
Montana
Idaho and Montana are two of the most
beautiful states in the Pacific Northwest to visit if you're
looking for scenic mountain bike trails, beautiful crystal
lakes, mountain highways, and peace and quiet.
One of the most popular Idaho and Montana
attractions is the Route of the Hiawatha, whose main bike
trail extends from five miles within the western Montana
border and ten miles into the eastern Idaho border.
Along the way, you'll wind through several dark tunnels,
over seven trellises suspended atop mountain
valleys and creeks, and across miles of mildly
rocky mountain terrain.

If you don't feel like roughing it at an Idaho
or Montana campground, the Silver Mountain Resort and
Waterpark in Kellogg, Idaho just might be the right place
for you to camp out. Though the waterpark is not
huge by any means, the Flow Rider boogie board/surf board
ride is sure to be the main attraction for kids and adults
ready to test their endurance and balancing
abilities. Of course, there's tamer rides for the
not-so-adventurous.

Fans of Dante's Peak should
certainly enjoy a short excursion to Kellogg, Wallace, and
Cataldo Idaho, where this Pierce Brosnan movie was
filmed. Eat at the Snake Pit in the same exact bar
stool Pierce did in the movie - yes, it's still there, and
we tried it out! (Looks pretty ordinary, but, since he
sat there, you'll just have to do the same!) Visit the
quaint town of Wallace - or, what's left of it after the
"volcanic disaster"!
