Islands of
Adventure

Marvel
Island: The Incredible Hulk
deserves top billing at Universal Islands of Adventure for
sheer coolness. This roller coaster is second to none in
Orlando, if for no other reason than its awesome slingshot
launcher at the beginning a foggy swamp in the middle, and a
heart-stopping deceleration at the end.

Marvel
Island: The Amazing Adventures of
Spiderman is is not your average 3D ride - quite the
opposite. Grab some 3D sunglasses and hold
tight; enter the city the Spiderman way, where you'll
be thrown off of rooftops and saved just in time before
your capsule is smashed to pieces on the concrete
below. You'll be holding your breath 95% of
the time, and closing your eyes in sheer terror for the
other 5%!

The Lost Continent: Dueling Dragons:
These fearsome twins really have it in for you. Fire and
Ice are their names- remember them. When you stroll up to
the gates, you'll meet a gatekeeper to a hauntingly gigantic
castle, warning you to beware of the dragons' fury.
Naturally, we weren't afraid, but it was quite a decision to
make once we meandered our way through the entire castle and
were asked to choose which coaster to ride first. Do we
take the short line or the one that looks faster? We opted for
Ice, for whatever reason.
While both are a lot of fun, Ice is better. Maybe it
was just the smell of charbroiled food below, but when we rode
Fire, we got a little queasy. So I suggest riding Ice
first and riding Fire when it's food downtime below - early
morning or mid-afternoon.
